Mayor Making and AGM

Eastleigh Councillors will bid farewell to Mayor Janice Asman, and nominate Cllr Richard Gomer to be appointed to the role.

At this year’s Mayor Making event, Eastleigh Councillors will thank outgoing Mayor Janice Asman for her outstanding service and the fantastic contribution she has made during her time in office.

Councillor Dr Richard Gomer, who has served as Deputy Mayor of Eastleigh over the past year, will then be nominated for the role of Mayor, before Councillors formally vote on the appointment. Councillor Michelle Marsh will also be nominated for the position of Deputy Mayor.

Can the public attend?

The mayor making and Annual General Meeting (AGM) events are both open to the public, but because of limited seating at the venue you will need to contact Laura Johnston, the Democratic Services Manager, if you have not already received a direct invite.
